How to Identify the Quality of SMD LED Light Bulbs

How to test the quality of SMD LED light beads?

Nowadays, both indoor and outdoor SMD LED light bulbs are widely used and applied. But for beginners like us who don't know the products, how can we judge the quality of the lights?

1. Look at the brightness. This is what people usually mean by the amount of LM (lumens) your light bulb can achieve. LM (lumens) is the unit used to measure the brightness of the light bulb.

2. Look at the chip and its size. The chip is a decisive factor for the quality of the light bulb. Generally, the larger the chip, the stronger the stability, the higher the brightness, and the better the heat dissipation.

3. Look at the glue and phosphor. Generally, good products use imported glue. After the light bulb is encapsulated, it won't deform when pressed by hand. Poor-quality glue will deform or even crack when pressed.

4. Look at whether the light is uniform and the color is consistent. Quality light bulbs have uniform light emission and consistent color. Poor-quality light bulbs will have one light bulb being brighter and another being darker. The light color will be messy and inconsistent, with obvious dark areas.

5. Look at the packaging process. Quality LED light bulbs have uniform color and good consistency of the encapsulation material. This is inseparable from good machinery equipment. The production machinery equipment is a very crucial factor. Good equipment can ensure the stability and consistency of the product in each process and guarantee the yield rate of the product.

6. Look at the bracket. In some cases, the bracket is a silver-plated red copper bracket. The advantage of a silver-plated red copper bracket is that it has fast heat dissipation, can better dissipate heat for the light bulb, and has a small resistance. Some merchants will use ceramic brackets instead of silver-plated red copper.

7. Look at the reputation of this brand of light bulb factory in the industry and how many display screen factories are using it.
